Wilson Bowden's Riverside Chambers to feature on Channel 4

The Riverside Chambers (formerly the Derby Magistrates Court), is to feature on Channel 4's new series Great British Buildings: Restoration of the Year.
Hosted by Kevin McCloud and Dr Anna Keay, it showcases the most incredible restorations of historic buildings. From palaces to watermills, department stores to music halls, they unfold nine centuries of our history told through treasured places that have been brought back from the brink.
Wilson Bowden, in partnership with Derby City Council are proud to see the Riverside Chambers has been included in this list. Left derelict for many years, the Grade II listed former Derby Magistrates Court was transformed into a stunning office complex, including a new restaurant and café. Managed by Connect Derby, the scheme has created 27,000 sq ft of mixed use office space, offering a range of accommodation varying from 80 sq ft - 1,800 sq ft.
The series features many great restorations, all demonstrating craft skills and enormous dedication. All projects the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) have placed on the long list for their Restoration of the Year award.
Alongside Kevin and Anna, Historic Building Surveyor Marianne Suhr and Architectural Historian Dr Jonathan Foyle uncover the stories behind each extraordinary project. At the end of the episode Kevin and Anna hear which building the RICS judges have placed onto the short list for the ultimate title of 'Restoration of the Year'.
The episode will air on Channel 4, Thursday 13th April.
