Major Outline Planning win at Infinity Park Derby

Infinity Park Derby is pleased to announce the successful award of a new Outline Planning Permission for the city's pivotal employment development site. It is set to undergo a transformative development, spanning 87 hectares (gross) and encompassing a diverse array of units totalling an impressive 1,799,000 square feet (GFA). The project includes facilities for storage and distribution, general and light industrial purposes, research and development, associated office spaces, a hotel, public house, and a café.

Ian Smith, Senior Planning Manager of Wilson Bowden, commented: 'This is a milestone moment for Infinity Park Derby. The outline planning permission reflects our ability to pivot towards changing market demands. The recently permitted 507,713 sq ft warehouse on Plot D2, and the existing Oregon, NAMRC and Nuclear Skills Academy buildings, all contribute towards what is shaping up to be the East Midlands' leading advanced manufacturing and logistics location.'

Notably, the planned buildings are committed to achieving a minimum BREEAM 'Very Good' and EPC 'A' ratings, underscoring Infinity Park Derby's dedication to sustainable and environmentally conscious development. The masterplan places a strong emphasis on green infrastructure, preserving existing habitat to provide green space for both staff and wildlife.

The primary access point for the site is the recently completed Infinity Park Way, a link road connecting to Junction 3 of the A50 (Derby Southern Bypass). This strategic location ensures excellent connectivity to the M1, as well as East Midlands Airport.
